Dr. Richard Severin PT, DPT, CCS

Dr. Severin is a physical therapist and ABPTS certified cardiovascular and pulmonary specialist. He completed his cardiopulmonary residency at the William S Middleton VA Medical Center/University of Wisconsin-Madison which he then followed up with an orthopedic residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Currently he is working on a PhD in Rehabilitation Science at UIC with a focus in cardiovascular physiology and bariatric rehabilitation. In addition to research, teaching and clinical practice, Dr. Severin has a strong interest in developing clinical practice tools for cardiovascular risk assessment for physical therapists in a variety of practice settings and methods for improving physical activity in the community. He is an active member within the APTA and serves on the social media committee and Heart Failure Clinical Practice guideline development team for the cardiopulmonary section. Follow him on Twitter

Dr. Aaron Horschig PT, DPT, CSCS, USAW L1

Dr. Aaron Horschig is a physical therapist, strength & conditioning coach, speaker and writer. Aaron works at Boost Physical Therapy & Sport Performance in Kansas City Missouri. His patients have included professional football players from the NFL and CFL, minor league baseball players, European professional basketball players, Olympic weightlifters, numerous NCAA Division I & II athletes,  international level youth soccer players, CrossFit athletes and numerous youth athletes in a variety sports. Aaron has competed in the sport of Olympic weightlifting for over a decade. He is also the founder of Squat University. His goal is to not only provide the highest quality rehabilitation to athletes who have sustained an injury, but to also help our sports medicine society become proactive in how we approach the athlete – both from a rehabilitation and training perspective. Dr. Scotty Butcher PT, PhD, ACSM-RCEP

Dr. Scotty Butcher is an Associate Professor in Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan and Co-Founder of Strength Rebels. He is a physical therapist who also holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology and Experimental Medicine, and a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification from the ACSM. Dr. Butcher’s over fifteen years of professional experience as a physical therapist range from work with elite athletics to chronic disease rehabilitation with the common theme of exercise prescription. Scotty teaches exercise physiology and rehabilitation to physical therapy students and conducts research in the area of strength training and high-intensity exercise testing and prescription. Follow him on Twitter

Dr. Mitch Babcock is a physical therapist with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a training background of strength, conditioning & performance. He is also a coach and partner with Unchained Potential, an individualized coaching and consulting company for athletes, which provides movement/mobility services to team athletes to improve and optimize their training.
